On Wednesday, June 11, Sébastien Lecornu celebrated his 39th birthday and, to the nearest day, his eighth consecutive year in government. He is the only minister in this situation and certainly also the closest to Emmanuel Macron in this post-dissolution fiasco and pre-2027 campaign configuration. At the center of the game, with a highly strategic position, in these times of geostrategic upheaval and war in Ukraine , Gaza , and now deadly strikes between Israel and Iran .

Yet, Sébastien Lecornu has disappeared from the radar! "He's the silent type," describes a government advisor. "Have you put out a search notice?" jokes a Renaissance executive, who testifies: "Right now, I feel he's very, very far away from us."
